Let Dr. Brian Freund, a superstar teacher and surgeon, hand hold you through all facets of oral surgery. After leaving this course, you will feel confident and ready to take on everything from surgical extractions, socket preservations, to impacted wisdom teeth and taking biopsy.
This course is tailor-made for general practitioners and after the hands-on you will feel comfortable providing patients with surgical care, great in-chair experience and convenience of staying in your practice. You will learn how to assess complexity of cases, get adequate training in all procedures and be equipped with the right tools to the get the job done efficiently!
We use specially designed models and fresh pig’s mandibles to give you the best simulated surgical experience possible.
✅ Extractions: single tooth and multiple extractions – make life easy, spot difficult teeth early and adapt technique, spot anatomic factors – root morphology/ankyloses/endo tx/impaction/access, it is not about strength – capitalize on geometry and physics, how long should an extraction take – consequences of extensive efforts, stepwise approach to the tooth that won’t cooperate
✅ Wisdom Teeth: nomenclature of impacted 8’s, cases to treat and cases to refer, TMD and wisdom teeth, anaesthetic options, post-op expectations and instructions
✅ Socket Preservation: trade-off between effective tooth removal and alveolar ridge integrity, materials and techniques to preserve a socket, materials and techniques to rebuild lost alveolar anatomy
✅ Biopsy: local anesthesia how to incise or excise simple soft tissue lesions – direction and depth of incision/closure, filling out the biopsy form

Dr. Freund is qualified as both a dentist and physician in Ontario. He received his medical degree from McMaster University and received his dental degree and specialist training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Toronto. He is an associate surgeon at the Chrysalis Dental Centre in Toronto with special interests in immediately loaded implant rehabilitation and minimally invasive facial rejuvenation. He was previously a clinical instructor at the University of Toronto as well as an examiner for the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. His area of research is focused on pain and dysfunction in the head and neck. He has lectured at over 20 Universities and hospitals and authored numerous scientific papers.

Registration course fees must be paid in full prior to the course. If such payment is not made, the registrant’s reservation for the course may be cancelled at the sole discretion of Edropin Inc.
All cancellations have a mandatory 2.9 % plus $0.30 non-refundable credit card fee. The following cancellation policy applies for all courses:
(i) cancellation 60 calendar days prior to the start date of the course – full refund; minus any processing fees
(ii) cancellation between 60 and 14 calendar days prior to the start date of the course – refund less a 25% administration fee;
(iii) cancellation less than 14 calendar days prior to the start date of the course – no refund.
All programs offered by edropin will be for scientific and educational purposes only and will not promote the products of the company directly. Edropin is responsible for the control of content and the selection of presenters and moderators. Edropin may work with or accept financial or in-kind support from other organizations but those organizations must first agree in writing that they will not direct the content of the program. Outside organizations or their agents will respond only to requests initiated by Edropin for suggestions of presenters or sources of possible presenters. edropin will record the role of the company or its agents and ensure that all names/roles are disclosed to participants prior to attending a program.

●Promoting an illegal activity
●Being disrespectful
●Revealing personal or identifying information about another user
●Lessons that promote dubious business schemes or promises a specific outcome to users.
●Engaging in fraudulent or misleading activity (including but not limited to: using multiple identities, email addresses, providing false or misleading information).

The formal continuing education programs of this program provider are accepted by the AGD for Fellowship/Mastership and membership maintenance credit.
