We will discuss some of the recent updates to endodontic treatment including lasers and advanced irrigation. We will also review fundamentals in endodontic diagnosis. This course looks to demystify the causes of excessive wear, including bruxism, malocclusion, and parafunctional habits, while providing practical strategies for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. New dental graduates will gain insights into recognizing occlusal issues early and guiding patients toward long-term solutions for a healthier, more stable bite.

Course Objectives:

  1. Understand the fundamental principles of occlusion and how bite forces contribute to tooth wear, including attrition, abrasion, and erosion.
  2. Identify common signs and symptoms of occlusal dysfunction and differentiate between physiological and pathological tooth wear.
  3. Explore diagnostic techniques and treatment strategies, including occlusal adjustments, splint therapy, and restorative approaches to manage excessive wear.
  4. Develop patient communication skills to educate and guide individuals on the prevention and management of occlusal-related tooth damage.
